The Center for Advanced Research Computing currently has several professional, student and staff openings in the areas of high-end applications support, system and storage administration, and hardware infrastructure support.  

Student, Intern and Staff Positions

Are you motivated, enthusiastic, and technically ambitious? CARC is looking for students, interns and staff to assist the Systems Group in day-to-day operations at the Center. CARC supports a wide array of advanced computing hardware and software, as well as a large-scale research storage system. CARC provides all UNM faculty, staff, and students free access to high-end computing systems for research in science, engineering, biomedicine, humanities, and the arts.

The positions involve assisting the Systems Group by installing, evaluating, and diagnosing hardware and software on CARC supercomputers, as well as working side-by-side with senior staff to resolve technical help tickets submitted by CARC users. The position will provide experience on diverse, state-of-the-art hardware and operating system platforms, including GPU and Xeon-Phi-based supercomputers and clusters.
